About Refined Metal
Refined Metal is Team Fortress 2’s small change. One refined is three reclaimed or nine scrap, and it is how anything worth less than a key is priced — cosmetics, weapons, and the odd fraction of a key in a larger trade.
Buying a stack of refined here saves collecting it a few scrap at a time, and selling one turns spare metal into USDT or USDC without a middleman setting the rate.
How the price is set here
There is no house price. Every figure on this page is a standing order from a player — the lowest ask is the cheapest anybody will sell for, the highest bid the most anybody will pay — and a trade happens when the two meet.
