Steam is the quickest way in and the only way to sell to the shop. A username and password works if you would rather not connect a Steam account.
With Steam
We never see your Steam password — Valve handles the sign-in and tells us only your SteamID. Your trade URL is checked against it, so goods cannot be sent to anyone else.
With a username
No Steam connection, no email, nothing to verify. You can buy; selling to the shop needs Steam.
