Belethor’s General Store

Terms

A plain-language summary of how trading here works. Have a solicitor review this before you rely on it.

What we do

We buy and sell in-game items for cryptocurrency at prices we set and publish. Trades are fulfilled by Steam trade offer, sent automatically once an order is ready; you accept the offer to complete it. Some orders are held for a person to look at — an amount that does not match, an unusually large order, or stock we do not currently hold — and we contact you when that happens.

Prices and quotes

The price shown when you place an order is the price for that order. It is recorded at that moment and does not change afterwards, in either direction. Orders expire if they are not paid or fulfilled inside the window shown.

Payments

Send only the asset and network the order specifies. Funds sent on another network, or to an address not shown on your order, cannot be recovered. If the amount that arrives does not match the order we will hold it and contact you rather than cancelling.

Your Steam account

You must own the Steam account you sign in with, and the trade URL you supply must belong to it. Items you sell must arrive from that same account; anything else is returned. Steam trade holds are imposed by Valve and are outside our control.

Shop credit (Septim)

When you sell, you may choose to be paid in Septim instead of cryptocurrency. Septim is credit held against your account, denominated in US dollars, and spendable on anything we sell. It is not money and not a deposit: it cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or converted back into cryptocurrency. Choose it only if you intend to spend it here.

Refunds

Refunds are issued by us, by hand, to an address you provide. We do not refund to the sending address by default, because it is often an exchange wallet that cannot receive one.

Limits and refusal

We may limit or refuse trades — including daily limits on selling — where we suspect fraud or stolen goods, or where we simply do not have the stock or funds.

No affiliation

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Valve Corporation or Steam.
