About TF2 keys

The Mann Co. Supply Crate Key is what Team Fortress 2 trading is priced in. It opens a supply crate in game, but mostly it changes hands as money: hats, unusuals and bulk metal are all quoted in keys, which makes the key the one item almost every TF2 trader needs to buy or sell sooner or later.

Keys are Steam items, so they move between accounts as trade offers. Here they sit in the shop’s trade bots while they are on the book, and a filled order moves them to the buyer’s balance at once — withdraw them to your own Steam inventory whenever you like.

How the price is set here

There is no house price. Every figure on this page is a standing order from a player — the lowest ask is the cheapest anybody will sell for, the highest bid the most anybody will pay — and a trade happens when the two meet.

The fee is 0.25% from the buyer and 0.25% from the seller, against 5–15% on other popular markets. Balances are Septim, pegged to the dollar: fund with USDT or USDC, cash out the same way, and withdraw your items to Steam whenever you like. Questions are answered in the FAQ.
